Back to School
It looks like I will be going back to school, of sorts, this summer.
As most of you know, I have been going to Paris with some regularity. I enjoy the trips immensely and have managed to get around fairly well - the French have been most accommodating. Each time I go I tell myself that I need to start learning the language so I will have a better understanding.
I find Paris extremely easy to get around and the people very nice to me. I understand the signage and a lot of the menus but I miss out on the spoken part. Maybe I am just deaf and have a hard time at it, who knows.
To that end, I am finally taking steps to rectify my stupidity (I'm starting anyway) and back to class I go. I will be taking the summer schedule of basic French at the Alliance Française in Chicago.
